Evin Wayne Partin
Evin Wayne Partin, age 72, formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana and Brownsburg, Indiana, departed this life on February 14, 2022, at the Williamsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
He was born to the late Willie Partin and Geneva (Henderson) Thomas on July 6, 1949, in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, LeRoy Thomas; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Thomas and Leroy Thomas, Jr. and a great niece Hannah Dyann Boylan.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Partin of Plainfield, Indiana and Rodney Partin of Danville, Indiana; two sisters, Diane Thomas (Gary Lamey) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Angela Michelle Dorris (Jeff) of Indianapolis, Indiana; half-sister, Phyllis Knuckles of Frakes, Kentucky; and half-brother, Allan Partin of Frakes, Kentucky; three aunts, special aunt, Helen Bennett of Siler, Kentucky, Ruby Caffee of Louisville, Kentucky and Carol McFadden (Arnold) of Lily, Kentucky; uncle, Martin Henderson (Rita) of Louisville, Kentucky; special cousin, Eugene and Mary Bennett of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. After the military he worked and retired from Roadway Express Transportation Company. He was a member of the Teamsters 135 for many years.
Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 19, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Callahan officiating.
Interment will be at the Bennett Cemetery on Tracy Branch Road following the service.
Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 88 of Corbin, Kentucky
