Eva “Bobbie” Alsip

Eva “Bobbie” Alsip, age 77 of Corbin, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born in Moses, Kentucky and was a lifelong Southern Baptist having been a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 40 years.
She was a loving mother to all her children especially to Sonny, whose life became her joy and dedication.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Allen C. Alsip; son, Richard Allen Alsip; parents, Sonny Nunn and Lissie Taylor Nunn; and by her siblings, Dorsal Nunn, Bruce Nunn, and Annalee Nunn.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Alsip, Sonny Alsip, and Glenn Alsip and wife Melesa; granddaughter, Miranda Broughton and husband Brandon; great-grandchildren, Conner, Brayde, Bentley, and Huck; siblings, Katherine Engle, Lawrence Ned Nunn, Betsy Thompson and husband Jim, Gwen Evans and husband Arthur, Darlene Nunn, and Eddie Nunn; special sister-in-law, Sue Nunn; and by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends, including special friend, Rhonda Lyliston.

Visitation will be from 12 pm until 2 pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 17th with Rev. Chuck Broyles officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery, in the Croley Addition in Williamsburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Alsip, Michael Hammond, Terry Hamlin, James Elswick, Brandon Broughton, and Salvador Garcia.
