Estes Mahan
Estes Mahan, age 90, of Harps Creek Road, Siler, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.
Estes was born on July 30, 1931 in Siler, Kentucky to the late Tommy and Sally (Lee) Mahan. He was raised by his grandparents, Johnny and Sally Mahan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Beulah (Peace) Mahan; twin brother, Vest (Bill) Mahan and sisters, Christine Monhollen and Lorene Webber.
Estes was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was a former employee of Teco Coal Company and a Kentucky Forest Ranger. He was a member and Deacon of Beech Bottom Baptist Church since July 15, 1969.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy Lee Mahan (Cindy) and Johnny Mahan, all of Siler, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Chris Mahan (Stacy) of Siler, Kentucky, Scott Mahan (April) of Siler, Kentucky, Johnny Mahan (Holly) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Kelsey Brock (Devin) of Bimble, Kentucky and Logan Mahan of Bimble, Kentucky; six great-grandchildren, Brayden, Bryson, Skyler, Addison, Torryn and Easton; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 8, at the Croley Funeral Home.
Estes will Lie-in-State from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, February 9, at Beech Bottom Baptist Church in Siler, Kentucky.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, at Beech Bottom Baptist Church with Rev. Waylon Mason, Rev. Lee Mahan and Rev. Larry Callahan officiating.
Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Goins Cemetery at the Beech Bottom Baptist Church in Siler, Kentucky.
