Elmer Harold Moses
Elmer Harold Moses, 88, of Becks Creek Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was born on May 3, 1930 in Williamsburg to the late Herbert Moses and Una (Davis) Moses.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Tommy Moses; son, Wayne Moses; brother, Erman Moses and two sisters, Pauline and Cora Moses.
Elmer was a veteran of the United States Army; he was a police officer for Williamsburg in the 1960’s and retired from the State Highway Department after over 25 years of service.
He was a member of Riverside Church of God for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Lee Moses of Williamsburg; two daughters, Judy Price (Chris) of Burlington and Debbie Kersey (the late Carl) of Williamsburg; son, Jeff Moses of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Moses (Brenda) of Corbin, Carl Moses (Vinna) of Williamsburg and Floyd Moses of Williamsburg; sister, Ruth Davis (the late Lacey) of Sparta, TN; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 19, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arlie Petrey and Rev. Randy Halcomb officiating.
Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens.
Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin.
