Ella Jane Moses
Ella Jane Moses, 80, of Highland Park Drive, Williamsburg, departed this life on Monday, October 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 19, 1937 in Williamsburg, to the late Dillard Cooper and Ethel (Huddleston) Cooper.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, JD Cooper and James Cooper.
She was co-owner and founder of BJ’s Restaurant and attended Grace Christian Fellowship Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William (Bill) Moses of Williamsburg; three daughters, Lou Cheta Williams (Gary) of Fairview, Jo Veta Harrell (Colan) of Williamsburg and Gina Hamlin (Jeff) of Williamsburg; son, James Moses (Natasha) of Williamsburg; ten grandchildren, Christy N. Cobb (Randall), Cody Harrell (Ashley), Joshua Hamlin (Sara), Taylor Hamlin, Peyton Hamlin, Jamie Lee Moses, Jason Hunter Moses, Ethan Garner Moses, Evan Garner Moses and Brayden Cooper Moses; five great-grandchildren, Haiden Moses, Ella Brylee Moses, Cayson Harrell, Bronson Harrell and Cooper Knox Hamlin; two sisters, Peggy Lou Inks (Don) of London, and Mary Jo Bunch (Mel) of Columbia, TN; brother, George Matt Cooper (Evelyn) of Oregon, OH; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 7, at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Gerald Mullins, Rev. Sam Walden and Rev. Arlie Petrey officiating.
Following the service she was laid to rest in the Lot Mud Creek Cemetery in Williamsburg.
