Ella Curtis

Ms. Ella Curtis, 60, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at the home. She was born February 24, 1960 in Tackett Creek, Kentucky, to the late Hugh and Lou Calton. Ella had a heart of gold, she loved deeply and was always there in anyone’s time of need.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Lou Calton; husband of 24 years, Bill Lee Curtis; siblings, Wanda Partin, Midge Walker, Jody Brown, Lawrence Elmore, Jesse “JR Ray” Elmore, and Jimmy Calton.

She is survived by her children, Billie Calton (Brittney Shoupes) of Corbin and Angela Paul (James) of Rockholds; grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything, Savannah Paul (Tanner Rogers), Caroline Paul, Bill Curtis, and Emma Paul; siblings, Tom Elmore (Jan), Linda Calton (Alfred) of Michigan, Kay Bailey of Corbin, Marie Mounce (Everrett), Pearl Prater of Williamsburg, Ann Bustamete (Joan) of California, and Mary Holbrook of Tennessee; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn her passing.

Ella will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

All services are private with Rev. James Paul and Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating.

A memorial service will take place at a later date in the Bryant Family Cemetery (Rockholds, Ky).
