Eleven local girls compete for the title of Miss Nibroc 2009
The 57th annual Miss NIBROC Pageant, sponsored by the Greater Corbin Chamber of Commerce, is set for this Saturday, Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Betty J. Hamilton Center for Performing Arts at Corbin High School. Eleven girls from the Tri-County area will vie for the title of Miss Nibroc 2009.
The theme for this year’s pageant is “Tonight’s Dream, Tomorrow’s Memory”. Entertainment will feature Steven and Kelly Lowe, Elizabeth Hood, Ron Green, and the All Star Dazzlers of Gail Frederick’s School of Dance. Dr. Brent Chumbley will be in his 18th year as Master of Ceremonies.
On Friday, Aug. 7, the girls will attend a Brunch hosted by the Corbin Ossoli Club at 10 a.m. and a Tea hosted by the Corbin Garden Club at 2 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the door and the cost is $8.
This year’s contestants are:
• Macy Begley – Corbin High School. Daughter of Jim and Susan Begley.
• Tara Nicole Epling – Barbourville Independent School. Daughter of Asher and Joyce Croley.
• Rebecca Joanna-Mae Hauser – Whitley County High School. Daughter of Thomas and Barbara Hauser.
• Kayla Elizabeth Lewis – Barbourville Independent School. Daughter of Dannie and Anita Lewis.
• Courtney Leigh Norvell – Corbin High School. Daughter of Patrick and Leah Norvell.
• Suzanna Leigh Perkins – Williamsburg High School. Daughter of Dr. Eddie Perkins and Mrs. Theresa Woods.
• Lynda-Lindsey Paige Sizemore – Corbin High School. Daughter of Bill and Rhonda Sizemore.
• Brianna LaShae Smith – South Laurel High School. Daughter of Randy Joe and Belinda Smith.
• Stephanie Kendra Danielle Smith – Knox Central High School. Daughter of Darrell and Lynn Smith.
• Kelsey Leigh White – Williamsburg High School. Daughter of Fred and Kim White.
• Tiffany Nicole Woolum – North Laurel High School. Daughter of the late Terry Lynn Reams.
