Elder Haskell Burl McKenzie
Elder Haskell Burl McKenzie, 90, of Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, departed this life on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Williamsburg Health and Rehab Center.
He was born on April 16, 1927 in Rowan County, to the late William Baldwin McKenzie and Jessie (Alfrey) McKenzie.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline (McKinney) McKenzie and a grandson, Kevin Everhart.
Haskell was pastor from 1984 to 1998 at Falls Junction Church of God in Corbin.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II.
He is survived by his daughter, Jane Everhart and husband Paul of Corbin; two sons, Terry McKenzie and wife Linda of Morehead and James Marshall McKenzie and wife Mary Ann of Muncie, IN; six grandchildren, Angie, Steve, Jamie, Jennifer, Teresa and Kelia; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Busby and Lucille Wilhoite of Morehead; brother, James Gary “BoBo” McKenzie of Louisville; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, February 7, at Croley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ryan McCully officiating.
A second visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, February 8, at the Gray Funeral Home in Morehead.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, February 8, at the New Alfrey Cemetery in Farmers, Kentucky.
