A Corbin mother and two of her children were airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center Saturday after an SUV t-boned a van on Ky. 312 near the Corbin Civic Center.
Thirty-four-year-old Erica Lunsford and two of her children, ages 13 and eight-months, were airlifted to UK.

Corbin Police Sergeant James Miller said the wreck occurred when the 2015 Mercedes GL550 SUV driven by 56-year-old Debra Greer of Corbin attempted to cross the highway from Browning Acres subdivision to Texas Ave.
“According to witnesses the SUV didn’t stop at the stop sign,” Miller said.
The 2006 Chevrolet Uplander van was travelling west on Ky. 312 when the collision occurred. Lunsford’s husband, 44-year-old Richard, was driving. Their six children, ages 14 to eight-months were passengers.
Miller said the three oldest, a 14-year-old male and females ages 13 and 12, were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle.
Corbin Fire Department Battalion Chief Bryan Jenkins said Keavy firefighters established the landing zone for the helicopters at the Corbin Civic Center.
Three others were taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Corbin. One other went by private vehicle to Baptist Health Corbin and another went by private vehicle to Saint Joseph London.
Ky. 312 was closed to traffic for an-hour-and-a-half while emergency personnel worked to clear the scene. The road was reopened about 3:30 p.m.
Miller said there is nothing to suspect drugs and/or alcohol were factors in the collision.
