Edwina B. Head

Edwina B. Head, age 89, of Williamsburg, Ky., passed away Tuesday November 29, 2022 at Baptist Health Corbin.
She was born December 13, 1932 in Somerset, Ky. to the late Adrian and Lora O’Neil Price.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Head; three sons, Mark Head, Greg Head and George T. Head; and one sister, Ruth Roberts.
Edwina loved life! She always wanted to spend time with her grandchildren, including great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going shopping. It was nothing unusual to go to the same store twice in one day. One of her favorites was eating. She enjoyed eating at home, at the park or restaurants. She was a very strong woman and full of life.
She is survived by one son, Eldon Head (Robin) of Williamsburg, Ky; six grandchildren, Jason Head (Christy) of Jellico, TN, Justin Head (Amanda) of Williamsburg, Ky., Wendy Allen (Jeremy) of Corbin, Ky., Tonya Day (Matthew) of Jellico, TN, Mark Head (Natasha) of LaFollette, TN and Jacob Head of LaFollette, TN; several great-grandchildren; niece, Portia Phelps (Denver) of Illinois; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, at Ellison Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Bowman and Rev. Chuck Evans officiating.
Graveside service will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 4, at Woodstock Cemetery in Somerset, Ky.
Interment will follow.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm until the funeral hour Saturday, December 3, at the funeral home.
