Eddie Hyde Jr.
Eddie Hyde Jr., 68, of Corbin, passed away on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at Baptist Health of Jacksonville, FL.
He was the son of the late Clarence Edward Hyde, Sr. and Edith (Kerns) Hyde, born to them on February 7, 1949 in Norton, VA.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Parks; a brother, Gerald Hyde, and a grandson, Ollie Hyde.
Eddie was Director of Inventory Acquisition and Remarketing for Legacy Automotive Network and Past and Present Exalted Ruler of the Tri-County Elk’s Lodge # 2826. A member of the Kentucky National Guard, and was a member of First Baptist of Corbin.
He is survived by his wife, Tina (Waddle) Hyde of Corbin; a daughter, Missy Reid and husband Tommy of London; four sons, Edward Hyde and wife Karen of London, Austin Hyde and wife Amanda, Thomas Hyde and Jesse Hyde all of Corbin; two sisters, Janice Barnes and husband Ed of Cannon, and Sally Hughes and husband Rick of Corbin; nine grandchildren: Mitchell Frederick, Kenton Frederick, Ashton Kearns, Ryan Cornett, Zack Cornett, Gabe Hyde, Brayden Hyde, Hannah Hyde, and Allie Hill; two great grandchildren, Hayden grace Cornett and Gavin Cornett; mother-in-law: Pat Waddle of Corbin, and a brother-in-law, Creston Waddle and wife Becky of Corbin; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, with Jay Fleenor, Earl Johnson, Mike Kersey, B.G. Hutton, Rich Taylor, Lawrence Rose, Mike Wilson and Tom Adkins serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. until the hour of service at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26th, at the O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Kids with Cancer, Tri-County Elk’s Lodge # 2826, 207 N. Main St., Corbin.
O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
