Easter “Jan” Hamblin
Easter “Jan” Hamblin, 79, of Chestnut Street, Williamsburg departed this life on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born on February 25, 1939 in Rockholds to the late Clarence and Della Mae (Lovitt) Smith.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Chad Moses and David Dewayne Moses; brothers, Hoyt, Hesco, Herman and Keith Smith; sisters, Erma Roark and Ethel Mitchell and infant twins, Paul and Pauline Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Hamblin of Williamsburg; four children, Steven Moses and wife Angela of Coshocton, OH, Melissa Newberry of Williamsburg, Craig Hamblin of Williamsburg and Steven Hamblin of Athens, TN; ten grandchildren, Natasha Wilson, Brittany Moses, Cyle Moses, Chad Moses, Eric Moses, Logan Moses, Scott Moses, Nathan Hamblin, Mathew Hamblin and Steph Hamblin; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard and Kevin Smith of Williamsburg; sisters, Madge McKeehan of Corbin, Gail Petrey of Williamsburg and Fran Myers of Stark, FL; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Monday, July 30, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating.
Following the service she as laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Pleasant View.
