Early morning fire destroys mobile home

An early Tuesday morning fire completely destroyed a trailer near the US25W and Highway 204 junction.
"It was fully engulfed when I got here," said 3-Point Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Glen Willmore Jr., who was the first firefighter on the scene. "This was a total loss. There was nothing we could do for it."
The blaze also melted the siding of a neighbor’s trailer, which was located less than 100 feet from the blaze. "We tried to get it put out before it did a whole lot of damage to the other structure," Willmore said.
Another point of concern for firefighters was a propane tank, which was even closer to the burning structure.
Initially firefighters didn’t know if anyone was inside the structure when the trailer fire was reported about 4:40 a.m. to Whitley County 911.
Shortly after 6:30 a.m., firefighters finally determined that nobody was inside, and signaled an all clear.
About a dozen firefighters from 3-Point, Woodbine, Oak Grove and Emlyn volunteer fire departments helped extinguish the blaze and were on the scene for well over two hours.
