Duskey Omega “Duck” Simms
Duskey Omega “Duck” Simms, 76, of Rockholds, departed this life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at St. Joseph London.
Born in Fonde, Kentucky on June 29, 1942, Duck was the daughter of the Late Leslie Berry Bowlin and Gertie Mae Wade.
Duck was a former employee of Chrysler in Detroit, MI and a Machine Operator for American Greeting of Corbin.
Besides her parents, Duck was preceded in death by her husband: David L. “Dave” Simms, three brothers: McKinley Ray Bowlin, Felix Marion “J.M.” Bowlin and Roy Junior Bowlin, a sister, Barbara Lou “Bobbi” Maiden and grandparents Rev. and Mrs. Jesse Wade and Steve and Susie “Maw” (Lundy) Bowlin.
Duck is survived by two children, Barbara Fuson and husband Bryan and William “Willie” Simms and wife Sonya all of Rockholds; a sister Patsy Sue Dodd and husband Carl “Skip” Dodd of Keavy; a brother, Albert Lee “Lee Bo” Bowlin and wife Shelia of Rockholds; two grandchildren: David Fuson of Rockholds, and Cody Fuson of Richmond, and two great grandchildren, Anakin
and Vaughn Fuson.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 29, at the O’Neil ~ Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in the Bryant Cemetery in Jacks Fork, Kentucky with Mark Truesdell, David Fuson, Chris Fuson, Austin Fuson, Josh Hensley and Brian Maiden serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Cody Fuson, Tyler M. Wilson and Tanner Wilson.
O’Neil – Lawson Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
