Donovan Earl Grimes

Donovan Earl Grimes, 76, B and G Road of Williamsburg, departed this life on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, TN.

He was born on April 9, 1940 in Corbin, to Earl Grimes and Edith Kerr Grimes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Edith Grimes; and infant son, Brent Grimes.

He was an Educator for 38 years at Rockholds, Woodbine, Jellico Creek, Whitley County Middle School; Principal at Rockholds and Woodbine; Asst. Principal at Whitley Central; and School Family Resource Coordinator at Oak Grove and Whitley Central.

He was a member of the Wofford Missionary Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Marsee Grimes of Williamsburg; daughter, Dawna Grimes of Williamsburg; two sons, Scott Grimes of Williamsburg and Donnie Grimes (Kellye) of Williamsburg; three grandchildren, Dillon Grimes, Brent Grimes, and Hailey Grimes; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, October 29, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Bunch and Rev. Paul Rhodes officiating.

He was laid to rest at the Wofford Cemetery.
