Donald Lee Satterfield

Donald Lee Satterfield, 79, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday September 10, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Wallens Creek to the late Charles H. Satterfield and Hazel Dopel Satterfield.

Donald was a retired engineer with Dept of Transportation for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and he was a Mason and Shriner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Forrest Satterfield; and by his sisters, Freda Forth and Margie Worley.

Donald is survived by his son, Donald E. Satterfield; granddaughters, Heather and Tasha; Brothers, Ken Satterfield and Bob Satterfield and wife Judy; all of Corbin; Bill Satterfield and wife Bonnie of Rockholds; sister, Betty Taylor and husband Herman of Dayton, OH; and by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The funeral service was held a 2 p.m. on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.

Burial followed in the Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg with military honors by the American Legion Post #88.
