Diana Ruth (Perkins) Bridges

Diana Ruth (Perkins) Bridges, age 83, of the Elk Valley Community of Pioneer, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at Diversicare of Oak Ridge, TN, on Thursday morning, December 15, 2022.
She was born on April 17, 1939, to the late Leonard Perkins and Etta (Martin) Perkins in LaFollette, TN. She loved to cook and to crochet. She was a member of Elk Fork United Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bridges; two children, infant daughter, Sherrie Ann Bridges, and son, William Michael Bridges; four brothers, Jimmy Perkins, Leon Perkins, J. L. Perkins, and Bobby Perkins; sister, Delores Richards; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eckley and Mary Bridges.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Bridges) Cuel, of Oak Ridge; numerous nieces and nephews; several special caregivers and friends at Diversicare; and a host of other friends, neighbors, and relatives to mourn her passing.
Private graveside service and interment were held on Sunday afternoon, December 18, at 3:30 p.m. at the Valley View Cemetery with the Rev. Frances “Junior” Dople officiating.
There will be a Celebration of Life held in the dining hall of Diversicare of Oak Ridge, 115 Elmhurst Street, Oak Ridge, TN, 37830 on Friday morning, December 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
