Deputies seek public’s help to identify pharmacy burglars
Knox County Sheriff’s deputies are hoping a Chrysler 300 will lead them to the identity of the masked men who broke into Stephanie’s Down Home Pharmacy Sunday morning.
Chief Deputy Derek Eubanks said video surveillance captured during the burglary shows a white Chrysler 300 sedan with chrome spoke wheels parked in front of the store on Master Street in Corbin as the masked men enter the store and sweep the shelves of drugs.
“They popped the lock on the front door of the store to get in and are in and out in less than three minutes,” Eubanks noted, adding that two men are seen grabbing the drugs while a third remains outside as a lookout.
After one individual pops the lock, he is seen returning to the car. He and another burglar then go through the door, each carrying a large storage tub. The third burglar can be seen walking around outside.
Video from the near the shelves show the two burglars sweeping bottles from the shelves into the tubs.
“They went straight to the drugs,” Eubanks said, noting they made no attempt to get into the cash register.
The lookout opens the door as the other two come back to the door.
Eubanks said this appears to be an isolated incident, noting he has not seen or heard of any similar burglaries in the area.
