Deputies searching for thieves who stole Woodbine cemetery fence, gate

The Knox County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the culprit(s) responsible for stealing fence, gates and so forth from a Woodbine cemetery.
On Aug. 19, Knox County deputies responded to a theft complaint at the Campbell Cemetery, which is located off Campbell Cemetery Road in Woodbine, according to a sheriff’s department release.
Deputies determined that 150 feet of black, painted chain-link fence had been taken in addition to top rails, seven posts, two 10-feet gates and all the hardware, the release stated.
Anyone with information concerning the theft of these items or their current location is asked to contact the Knox County Sheriff’s Department at (606) 546-3181 during regular business hours, or Knox County Dispatch after regular business hours at (606) 546-3510.
“The identity of anyone furnishing such information will remain anonymous,” according to the release.
