David G. Ingram
On January 15, 2022 David G. Ingram died at the age of 72.
David was born to Thomas and Marola Ingram September 24, 1949.
He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas J. Ingram and Marola Bell King Ingram as well as siblings, Thomas G. Ingram, Charles R. Ingram, Sandra Swinehart, Tyrus Ingram, Mary Jo Ingram, and George Ingram.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Robert Swinehart, Brian Swinehart, Thomas Ingram, Karen Swain, James Ingram, Robert Ingram, Janet Miller, Rebecca Defevers, and George M. Ingram and their families.
He graduated from Williamsburg High School. He attended Cumberland College. He helped care for his niece and nephews when his brother Tommy Ingram was battling an illness that eventually took his life.
He had a life long companion Dave Rivera who departed this life shortly after David. He took great pride in his lifestyle choice and advocated for others. He spent time assisting AIDS victims hospitalized during the AIDS crisis.
He was President of Construction Specification Institute California Chapter for a number of years.
He was known for his good sense of humor and contagious laughter. Family was most important to David. He enjoyed playing tour guide to family when visiting San Francisco, he always found interesting facts about the area.
He loved to travel particularly to Europe, Mexico, and Las Vegas. He enjoyed researching Ingram family history and exploring Kentucky cemeteries.
He was a devoted friend who never hesitated to help anyone who needed it. His neighbors describe him as friendly, kind, helpful, and giving.
A public graveside/memorial service will be held at Highland Park Cemetery on Saturday, May 14, at 11:00 am where his ashes will be interred next to his brother Tye Ingram. A portion of his ashes will be left on his mother’s grave in Bell County.
