A memorial serice will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at tthe Corbin Church of Nazarene.

Paul E. Braden

Paul E. Braden, 34th Judicial Circuit Judge, passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 in Corbin, Ky. He had been Circuit Judge for Whitley and McCreary Counties since 1995 and was serving as Chief Regional Judge for the Cumberland Region at the time of his death.

His visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church in Corbin. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church. Interment will follow at the Sutton-Skinner Cemetery at Woodbine.

Justin Lee Jones, 28, of Corbin, Ky. passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the local hospital.

Visitation was from 6 until 9 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at O’Neil Funeral Home. His funeral was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Burial followed at Corinth Cemetery.

Verlon D. Wilson of Highway 904 East, Williamsburg, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Hazard Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.

Visitation was after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Croley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel. He was laid to rest in the Browns Creek Church of Christ cemetery in Williamsburg, Ky.

Reverend J.K. Barrineau

Reverend J.K. Barrineau, 88, of Corbin, Ky. passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at The Heritage.  Born January 4, 1923, in Taft, S.C. He was the son of the late Joseph and Harriett Barrineau. 

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the East Side Tabernacle Church of God.

Visitation was from 6 – 9 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the East Side Tabernacle Church of God in Corbin, Ky. and on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m.

Paul Wesley Hill, 83, of the Boston Community in Whitley County, Ky. passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico, Tenn.

Funeral services were at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, Tenn. with the interment at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the Clearfork Cemetery with military honors.

Leland Eugene Rice, of Corbin, Ky. was born April 6, 1933, in Corbin, Ky., and departed this life Friday, June 3, 2011, at Baptist Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel Burial followed in the Hart Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Corbin Fire Department.
