Curtis Dean Lawson

Curtis Dean Lawson, 63, of Rockholds, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 19, 1958 to the late Floyd J. Lawson and Helen McKinney Lawson. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Karon Moses, brother, Lloyd Lawson and uncle, Larry McKinney.
Curtis is survived by three sisters, Sharon Lawson Gabbard (Bobby) of London, Ky. Pam Cornett (David) of Corbin, Ky. and Shanna Lawson Elkins (Stephen) of Corbin, Ky.; one brother, Brian Lawson (Sherry) of Corbin, Ky.; aunt, Cordia Prewitt of Dowis Chapel, Ky.; special caregivers, Sandra Dickey, Andrew Vaughn, Leah Sizemore, Sharri Tidwell, Gail Hibbard, and Darlene Cheek; also a host of other family, friends, nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.
He was a member of Frankfort Baptist Church.
He loved hunting squirrel and coon and horseback riding.
Curtis was employed with the railroad for over 37 years working for L&N, Carolina Coastal & CSX. He was also a graduate of Corbin High School.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM Sunday, November 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, November 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Young Cemetery Corbin, KY.
