Curtis D. Otte
Curtis D. Otte, 68, of Corbin passed away Wednesday evening, December 27, 2017 at the UM Medical Center in Lexington.
He was a native of Clarinda, Iowa and served in the U.S. Army as a military police investigator.
He had worked in human resources for the American Greetings Corp. and later as health and safety manager for Southeastern Kentucky Rehabilitation Industries.
Curtis was a member and deacon at Central Baptist Church and had taught his Sunday School Class.
He was an avid fisherman and was president-elect of the Bassin’ Baptists. He enjoyed drag racing and had built and raced his own car.
His mother, Doris Johnson Otte, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Litteral Otte; his daughters: Rachel Otte, and Courtney Bernard and husband Robbie; Patricia’s sons: Asher Hoskins and wife Catherine, and Beau Hoskins and special friend Whitney Sandusky; his father, Darrel Paul Otte; a sister, Marianne Otte; grandchildren: Kalea, Marlee, Emily, Abigail, Matthew, and Lauren; nephew, Nicholas Noverio, and niece, Cara Noverio and husband Matt.
The funeral was held Sunday with Rev. Chad Fugitt officiating.
Burial was at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Bassin’ Baptists and his Sunday School Class.
