Cumberland Mint Gaming Hall Now Open
The wait is finally over…
After much anticipation in recent months, the Mint Gaming Hall – Cumberland is open to the public as of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1.
Vice President and General Manager Henry Graffeo said he is excited to finally see the doors of the Mint opening, and he is looking forward to welcoming the community inside.
Although the gaming areas of the facility will be open as of Thursday, the food areas will not be fully operational for at least another week or so. In the meantime, Graffeo said food trucks will be located outside the building to offer visitors a variety of menu options.
In addition to games and food, a full schedule of live entertainment has also been planned, beginning with the band K-Town (out of Knoxville), who will be appearing opening night from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
A special guest DJ will be on hand Friday between 8:00 p.m. and midnight to provide musical entertainment, and local favorites Eight Daze Sober will be performing at the same times on Saturday.
On Sunday, Williamsburg’s own Troublesome Times will be playing between 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
The Mint Gaming Hall- Cumberland is located right off of I-75 Exit 11 in south Williamsburg, and is home to 450 gaming machines. For more information, visit www.themintcumberland.com.
