Corbin’s Christmas celebrations kick off Nov. 21
The City of Corbin is kicking off the Christmas season on Nov. 21 with a Christmas Open House from 1 to 5 p.m. in downtown Corbin.
Corbin Tourism Director and Downtown Manager Maggy Monhollen said the Christmas Open House is the official holiday shopping kickoff for downtown Corbin.
“Businesses will be open to greet citizens and tourists,” said Monhollen.
At NIBRCO Park, Santa Claus will be around to take photos, First Baptist Church will serve hot chocolate, Cumberland Valley National Bank will provide free treats, and children will be able to complete Christmas crafts and write letters to Santa.
A craft vendors alley will be set up on First Street and will host a variety of local, handmade crafts.
The Corbin High School Band will perform as small ensembles on the corner of Second and Third Street.
The holiday cheer will continue on Dec. 4 with the annual Christmas parade.
Lineup for the parade will be at 6 p.m. at Corbin City Hall.
The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and travel from City Hall to Gordon Hill.
Pre-parade activities will begin in NIBROC Park at 5 p.m. Activities will include meeting Santa, Christmas crafts, cards for a soldier and free hot chocolate.
