Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 52-year-old Susan Foley on one count of second-degree assault – domestic violence.
Deputies were called to a residence on Burkshire off of Standard Ave. Sunday morning in response to a complaint that someone had been stabbed.
According to the arrest citation, Clayton Grubb told deputies that his sister, whom he identified Foley, had stabbed him in the shoulder.
Deputies stated Grubb had what appeared to be a knife wound in the shoulder.
A witness told deputies that he saw the alleged incident.
Foley is being held in the Knox County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
Foley pleaded not guilty to the charges at her arraignment Tuesday in Knox District Court. She is scheduled to return to court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing to determine whether there is probable cause to present the case to a Knox County grand jury.
Under Kentucky law, second-degree assault is a Class C felony carrying a potential prison sentence of five to ten years.
