Corbin wins regional volleyball title Thursday in Bell Co.

Your Corbin Lady Hounds are once again champions of the 13th Region after their defeat of Whitley County Thursday night at Bell County High School.

The Hounds won this year’s regional championship contest 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-10, 25-20), improving them to 14-5 on the season. Meanwhile, the Lady Colonels ended their 2020 campaign with an overall record of 14-4.

Corbin will now shift their focus to the KHSAA state championship tournament, which is scheduled to get underway Monday, November 2. The Hounds will travel to Lexington to take on Region 11 champions Henry Clay in round one.

Your 2020 Corbin High School volleyball team members are: Chloe Adams, Ava Maguet, Emma Ashurst, Emily Marcum, Hannah Baker, Courtney Petrey, Haleigh Black, Allie Smith, Kaitlin Boswell, Morgan Stacy, Caroline Combs, Isley Walker, Erin Good, Payton Webb, Emma Krutsinger and Cara Whitus.

Your 2020 Whitley County High School volleyball team members are: Darcie Anderson, Katiebeth Kelly, Bailey Brown, Becca Meadors, Kaytlynn Collier, Taylor Rice, Alicyn Croley, Erin Salyers, Marissa Douglas, Emily Sharp, Kelsie Frazier, Mikayla Wilder and Eliza Irwin.
