Last week, coverage area teams competed in the 2024 Kentucky High School Athletic Association Track and Field State Championships. Results from the meets, held at the University of Kentucky, are as follows…

Class A championships (Thursday, May 30)

• Girls 4x800m relay – Williamsburg 13th place in 10:55.07 (Ryan Fields, Emaly Powers, Emma Moore and Tatum Croley)

• Girls 100m hurdles – Lylah Mattingly (W’burg) 5th place in 15.91

• Boys 110m hurdles – Peyton Hamilton (W’burg) 14th place in 16.42

• Girls 4x200m relay – Williamsburg 11th place in 1:51.84 (Kaylee Rains, Lynsie Durham, Lillian Roark, Madison Peace)

• Girls 1600m run – Tatum Croley (W’burg) 22nd place in 6:03.25

• Girls 4x100m relay – Williamsburg 24th place in 54.79 (Lynsie Durahm, Abigail Workman, Bailee Hill and Lillian Roark)

• Boys 4x100m relay – Williamsburg 22nd place in 46.86 (Hunter Thomas, Landon Lowrie, Peyton Hamilton and Chase Meddles)

• Girls 400m dash – Madison Peace (W’burg) 5th place in 59.29

• Girls 300m hurdles – Lylah Mattingly (W’burg) 2nd place in 45.74

• Boys 300m hurdles – Peyton Hamilton (W’burg) 17th place in 44.11 and Hunter Thomas (W’burg) 22nd place in 45.46

• Girls 800m run – Emaly Powers (W’burg) 12th place in 2:33.78

• Boys 800m run – Tate Mills (Lynn Camp) 16th place in 2:09.62

• Girls 200m dash – Madison Peace (W’burg) 5th place in 26.42 and Lylah Mattingly (W’burg) 19th place in 28.26

• Girls 3200m run – Tatum Croley (W’burg) 22nd place in 13:54.53

• Boys 4x400m relay – Williamsburg 21st place in 3:47.93 (Hunter Thomas, Eli Meadors, Chase Meddles and Peyton Hamilton)

• Girls shot put – Allie Wilson (W’burg) 12th place

• Boys shot put – Alex Gamble (W’burg) 8th place and Rayden Peel (W’burg) 20th place

• Girls discus – Abigail Stephens (W’burg) 24th place

• Boys long jump – Nate Goodin (W’burg) 5th place

• Girls triple jump – Emaly Powers (W’burg) 17th place

• Boys triple jump – Lane Jeffries (W’burg) 17th place

• Boys 4x800m relay – Corbin STATE CHAMPIONS in 8:04.52 (Coleman Anderson, Ethan Slone, Ben Teague and Connor Messer)

• Girls 100m hurdles – Maddie Jo Russell (Corbin) 3rd place in 16.28
