Corbin police seek three for vending machine thefts

Corbin Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the three men who broke into the vending machines outside the Pack and Sack BP gas station on 18th Street Sunday night.
Video surveillance shows three males driving up to the store in a green pickup truck. While the driver waits in the vehicle, two individuals, one white and the other with a dark complexion, approach the machines.
The white male, who is wearing a red shirt and white basketball shorts, appears to have a crowbar in his hands. He walks back to the front of the machines where he serves as a lookout. The other individual, who appears to be heavyset, walks to the unseen side of the machines and works to open the machines.
“They pried them open,” said Corbin Police Major Rob Jones.
Within approximately 45 seconds, the two individuals walk back to the pickup truck.
Jones said it is unknown exactly how much money was taken from the machines.
