Corbin Police seek public’s help in finding missing juvenile

Police are looking for a 16-year-old girl who apparently ran away from her mother while at a Kroger store in Corbin Sunday.
According to Corbin Police Department Public Affairs Officer Rob Jones, the department received a call from the girl’s mother, Christine Land, that her daughter had run away from her during a stop at the Kroger store at Corbin Station on U.S. 25 E. Through an investigation by Corbin Police Sgt. Jim Miller, the girl was seen on surveillance video meeting with a slender build, white male with dark hair, apparently in his mid to late teens. The two left the store while the girl’s mother was looking for her.
The missing girl is described as a white female about 5-5 tall, long brown hair, brown eyes and weighing about 145 lbs. She was last seen wearing a gray Hollister hoodie and blue jeans. She was also wearing tan loafers and carried a blue purse. Land and her daughter are from Berea.
"We think she had her boyfriend meet her down here and they took off together," Jones said. "They were walking around the store holding hands."
Police do not know the identity of the girls boyfriend. Because of a department policy which apparently forbids the release of a juvenile’s name for any reason, Jones said he could not provide the girl’s name either.
Anyone with information regarding the location of the missing juvenile is encouraged to call Corbin Police at 606-528-1122.

I’M SORRY FOR THE WRONGFUL THINGS THE PUBLIC HAS TO SAY BUT, WE WILL PRAY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND AS FOR THE POLICE DEPT. THE PUBLIC SHOULD WANT TO HELP,
IF THAT WERE THEIR CHILD, THEY WOULD SURELY EXPECT THE SAME.
You will stop talkind bad about the police ,when they save your butt from a drunk dopped up nut or when they get back what some thief has stolen . Id be careful what I say due to a family member friend or self you might regret those words.
This is her sister and her name is Pamela Wray, and the guy we believe she may be with is Daryl Evans.
I am stumped as to why they can’t release her name. They released a photo. Why not her name? I just don’t understand it.
I am curious to know, if the CPD is not allowed to release the name of the missing girl, why did the news reporter not interview the mother of the girl and ask her for the girls name? While the CPD may have a department policy to not release the girls name, the mother does not.
Just holler Land -ho! …at every girl that fits that description, and see who turns around. ……..lol!
