Corbin Police searching for man who stole cash register from Taco Bell
Corbin Police are searching for a man who ran out of the Taco Bell on Cumberland Falls Highway with a cash register Monday morning.
The incident occurred just after 11 a.m.

Corbin Police are searching for this man who was caught on surveillance camera taking the cash register from Taco Bell on Falls Highway Monday morning.
Lt. Coy Wilson, the department’s public affairs officer, said the black male had gotten out of a truck parked at the Econo Lodge motel, and walked down the hill to the restaurant.
Upon entering the restaurant, the suspect is seen on video surveillance going behind the counter to get the cash drawer portion of the register, running out the door and back to the motel.
Wilson said all of the employees were back in the kitchen at the time.
Once at the motel, Wilson said the suspect got into a maroon Chevrolet 4-door pickup truck.
Video surveillance showed the pickup truck, which had a black steel bumper and brush guard on the front, leave the parking lot.

The suspect fled to the nearby Econo Lodge motel where he was captured on video getting into this pickup truck.
“We are pretty sure when they left, they went north on I-75,” Wilson said noting there were multiple suspects in the vehicle.
“We are not 100 percent sure how many people were in the vehicle,” Wilson said.
Wilson emphasized that the individuals had not been staying at the motel and only used the parking lot while committing the robbery.
“There was no more than $100 in the drawer at the time,” Wilson said.
Wilson said the incident matches a similar incident that occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. at Pizza Hut in Williamsburg.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or the suspect is asked to contact Corbin Police at 528-1122.
