Corbin Police report busy month of June
The Corbin Police Department answered 1,210 calls during the month of June.
Officers issued 194 total citations for traffic or criminal offenses, and made 129 total arrests. Out of those arrests, there were 32 criminal arrests, 89 warrants served, and eight arrests for DUI, according to a Corbin Police Department release.
Corbin Police opened 41 criminal cases during June for things such as theft, assaults, etc.
Officers responded to 43 collisions in June.
So far in 2022, Corbin police have answered a total of 6,590 calls, issued 1,001 total citations, and made 546 total arrests. Out of those arrests, 178 were criminal arrests and 350 were warrants served, according to a News Journal analysis.
Corbin police have opened a total of 224 cases thus far in 2022, and had responded to 295 total collisions through June 30, 2022.
“The City of Corbin’s Police Department works tirelessly to ensure our community is provided a quality law enforcement service. We utilize all available resources to minimize the risk of the citizens we serve becoming a victim of criminal activity,” the Corbin Police Department wrote in a release.
