Corbin Police report busy month of July
The Corbin Police Department answered 1,390 calls during the month of July.
Officers issued 194 total citations for traffic or criminal offenses, and made 125 total arrests. Out of those arrests, there were 42 criminal arrests, and 83 warrants served, according to a Corbin Police Department release.
Corbin Police opened 27 criminal cases during July for things such as theft, assaults, etc.
Officers responded to 55 collisions in July.
So far in 2022, Corbin police have answered a total of 7,980 calls, issued 1,195 total citations, and made 671 total arrests. Out of those arrests, 220 were criminal arrests and 433 were warrants served, according to a News Journal analysis.
Corbin police have opened a total of 251 cases thus far in 2022, and had responded to 350 total collisions through July 31, 2022.
“The City of Corbin’s Police Department works tirelessly to ensure our community is provided a quality law enforcement service. We utilize all available resources to minimize the risk of the citizens we serve becoming a victim of criminal activity,” the Corbin Police Department wrote in a release.
