Corbin native killed in accident on I-75 in northern Kentucky
A Corbin native was killed Wednesday when the vehicle in which she was riding, hit a pickup truck parked on the side of Interstate 75 near the 165-mile marker Wednesday morning.
According to Kentucky State Police, Nora Green, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle wreck, which occurred just south of the Crittenden exit.
Danny Marsh had stopped had pulled onto the shoulder of the highway to assist another motorist who had been involved in a separate collision.
Green was traveling north in the Honda passenger car driven by her husband, Jacob Evans.
As Evans approached the scene, police stated that he lost control of the vehicle, slid off the road and rear-ended the pickup truck.
Marsh, who was not in the vehicle at the time of the collision, was not injured. Evans was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence for treatment of his injuries. He was later transferred to the hospital’s facility in Edgewood and has since been released.
Police stated that snowfall from the winter storm passing through the area may have been a factor in the crash.
According to her Facebook page, Green was born and raised in Corbin but was currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio.

A wonderful young woman was taken from her adoring husband, awesome parents, brother, sister, and lots of family and friends in a horribly tragic accident. Too bad the story of her untimely death could not have had as much substance as Nora herself! Rather disappointed.
The last statement… “According to her FACEBOOK PAGE…”… seriously? That seems to be less than quality reporting.
