Corbin man jailed in northern Kentucky for fondling five-year-old while she slept

A Corbin man has been jailed in northern Kentucky for allegedly fondling a five-year-old child while she slept.
Patrick Courtney, 18, was arrested by officers with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department Monday and charged with first-degree sexual abuse following the incident. He is being detained in the Boone County Detention Center on $25,000 cash bond.
According to reports, Courtney was at a home in Florence when he was asked by the girl’s mother if he would watch the five-year-old while she left to run errands for about an hour. The next morning, the girl apparently told her mother a man came into her room and touched her during the night.
Authorities say Courtney has admitted to the allegations. He was apparently in town for a family event.
Courtney was arraigned in Boone District Court and has pleaded not guilty to the charge. A preliminary hearing in his case is set for May 10 at 8:30 a.m.

Ok, the guy said something really stupid and untrue about Corbin… drop that and remember what the story was about and pray for the little girl and her family. I would have left my child to run an errand or two if I knew the person well. It said he was in town for a family event…maybe, cousin? Child molesters don’t have a sign on them that identifies them. Talk about a scarlet letter!!!
I’m a friend, or should I say, was a friend, of Patrick. I could not believe what has happened. I gave that guy a place to live, feed him and tried to help him in school. I just can’t believe this. Oh, and by the way dumbas$ not everyone in corbin are on drugs.

This is a terrible situation. I hope the little girl is alright. I am sure there is more to the story then the media lets on.
Child molesters are the lowest of the low. Even though I know Patrick, if he really did this , I hope he is locked away for the rest of his life!

This man is sick if he really did this and should be put in a mental hospital for the rest of his life so he won’t hurt anyone else.
