Corbin man dies after being hit by car while walking along US 25E Saturday

Daniel Sizemore of Corbin was killed Saturday when he was hit by a car on U.S. 25E in Corbin.

West Knox Fire Chief Daryl Baker said Sizemore was walking along the roadway near American Greeting Road when the car hit him.

The car swerved to the right and struck a utility pole, breaking it into two pieces and knocking out power to the Taco Bell restaurant.

Baker said the driver was out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived and appeared to be uninjured. Sizemore was pronounced dead at the scene.

Laurel County Sheriff¹s Deputy Joey Vicini is leading the investigation.
