Corbin man caught ransacking house arrested for robbery
A Corbin man has been charged with robbery after local homeowners discovered him ransacking their house Wednesday.
According to Corbin Police, Billy Jones, 22, of Queen Hill in Corbin, was inside the residence of Steve and Robin Money at 1013 West Fourth Street when they arrived home. Jones, authorities say, had ransacked the house and taken what items he could carry. He allegedly used physical force to on Robin Money and was able to escape through a window.
They couple called police and Corbin Police Capt. David Maiden located Jones and Carter Street where he was apprehended without incident.
Jones has been charged with second-degree robbery. He was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
Captain Rob Jones and K-9 Officer Coy Wilson assisted in the investigation.
