Corbin man arrested for threatening female jogger
A Corbin man was arrested last week for allegedly threatening a female jogger on Master Street.
According to police, Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Mikey Ashurst received a cell phone call from a “hysterical female” jogging on Master Street in Corbin. She told Ashurst that a man was following her and “screaming vulgar slurs at her.”
The man also allegedly said he was going to kill her and “blow up the police.”
While Ashurst was on the phone with the woman, the man began chasing her. A passing motorist witnessed the incident and stopped to allow the woman to get inside their vehicle.
After obtaining a description of the man, Ashurst located and arrested Travis W. Hall, 30, and charged him with terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct, menacing, public intoxication (methamphetamine).
Hall was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center where he remained Tuesday morning.
Knox County Constable Brandon Bolton assisted on the arrest.
