CORBIN GIRLS TENNIS, 7-1

 The Corbin Lady Redhounds picked up were they left off before Spring Break…winning. Corbin defeated the Whitley County Lady Colonels Tuesday, 9-0 then took down the Harlan Lady Dragons by the same score Wednesday

The wins by the Lady Redhounds upped Corbin to 7-1 on the season. “Whitley County is rebuilding,” Corbin Coach Donnie Head said. “So, we got to play a lot of younger players in the win.”

“After retuning with 15 hours of court time at Hilton Head last week for Spring Break, the team was ready to play,” Head said.

Against Harlan the Ladty Redhounds looked impressive in most of the matches. “Cassidy Green struggled early in her match but settled down and got the victory,” Head said.  “The #2 doubles (Julie Crawford and Emma Kate Carloftis) done pretty much the same thing, but pulled away.  The had a good overall outing,” he said. “We gave a couple of my better players the day off, the young girls still took care of business,” Head added.
