Corbin City Commission’s decision to buy fire truck on hold
The Corbin City Commission’s decision to purchase a new pumper truck for the fire department has been put on hold.
The commissioners voted Monday night to purchase the truck from Pierce Fire Equipment at a cost of $650,000.
However, at the request of Commissioner Trent Knuckles, the commission is seeking an opinion from City Attorney Bob Hammons as to whether it may legally purchase the truck without first securing bids.
