Corban man, Lily woman arrested by state police in meth bust
A Corbin man and Lily woman were arrested Sunday night after reports of a domestic disturbance on Douglas Blvd. in southern Laurel County led state police to the discovery two methamphetamine labs.
According to Kentucky State Police Post 11 Trooper First Class Don Trosper, 44-year-old Claude T. Powell Jr., of Corbin, and 21-year-old Brittany Yaden, of Lily, face criminal charges following an investigation into the incident by Trooper Richie Baxter.
Both Powell and Baxter have been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
State police went to the residence after a report of domestic problems there. Upon arrival, officers located Powell and Baxter in a bedroom of the home along with two "one step" meth labs in plain view.
The two were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Trooper Baxter is continuing an investigation into the case. He was assisted at the scene by Trooper Mike King and the Laurel County Department of Public Safety.
