Complaint leads to drug arrests at Corbin Manor Apartments
Three people were arrested at Corbin Manor Apartments Friday afternoon on drug-related charges.
Ralph G. Stacy, 51, of Corbin, Tiffany Denise Gray, 37, of Williamsburg, and Jennifer Lynn Collier, 46, of London were each arrested after Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies located assorted drug paraphernalia.
“It was spoons and needles, all of which contained residue,” said Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer.
Acciardo said deputies were called to the scene off of American Greeting Road about 4:15 p.m.
“We had a complaint of drug activity,” Acciardo said noting the complaint came from management.
Detective Sgt. Kevin Berry made contact with the three individuals, later identified as Stacy, Gray and Collier, in the breezeway of one of the apartments.
“While conducting the investigation and checking for warrants on the individuals there, the male subject (Stacy) began yelling and cursing and creating a disturbance there,” Acciardo stated. “While trying to diffuse the situation, the male subject struggled with Sgt. Berry, and following a brief scuffle was taken into custody.”
Acciardo stated that deputies recovered the paraphernalia from each of the individuals.
Stacy was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication – controlled substances, menacing, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Gray was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition deputies served Gray with a bench warrant out of Knox County for failure to appear in court on a charge of flagrant non support, and a warrant out of Laurel County for failure to appear in court on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, driving on a DUI suspended license and other traffic offenses.
Collier was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Berry was assisted at the scene by Detective Kyle Gray, St. Brett Reeves, Lt. Greg Poynter, Capt. Chuck Johnson, deputies Keith Dinsmore, Jamie Etherton and Jake Miller, Court Security Officer Brent France and Bailiff Roy Ball.
Stacy, Gray and Collier were each lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Facility.
