Chick-fil-A, Starbucks opening Monday at UC

Two new restaurants, Chick-fil-A and Starbucks, which are both located on the campus of the University of the Cumberlands, will be opening to the public on Monday.

“Our students and staff are very excited to have Chick-fil-A Express and Starbucks at UC. We hope the community will take time to visit campus and enjoy the offerings at both of these great establishments,” said Leslie Ryser, Director of the Office of University Communications.

In April, UC announced construction of the new restaurants on their campus. Both are located in the Boswell Campus Center.

Chick-fil-A is located on the main level in the grill. Starbucks is located on the mid-level of the campus center, just outside the campus bookstore.

Chick-fil-A will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Starbucks will initially be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., but their hours of operation may expand at a later date.

Chick-fil-A Express, which is located on the campus of the University of the Cumberlands, is scheduled to open to the public Monday. The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

There are a limited number of designated parking spaces for Chick-fil-A in the parking lot located on Walnut Street between the Admissions Office and Boswell Campus Center.

Parking is also available at the bottom of the Boswell Campus Center, near the entrance to the Ward Correll Health & Wellness Center.

Community members might want to keep in mind that because these are not traditional, stand-alone restaurants, gift cards cannot be used at the Chick-fil-A or Starbucks on campus.

Chick-fil-A’s menu will include its famous fried and grilled chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, waffle potato fries, freshly squeezed lemonade, milkshakes and other items.

The Starbucks kiosk will provide a full drink menu, including the most popular Starbucks beverages.
