Charles L. Stephens Jr.
Charles L. Stephens Jr., MD, 84, passed away at his home on January 31, 2019.
He was a graduate of Williamsburg High School, University of Kentucky and University of Louisville College of Medicine.
After graduating from medical school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served four years as a medical doctor with a rank of captain.
After completion of his service, he returned to Kentucky and completed a residency in pathology at the University of Kentucky. He was a pathologist for many years at St. Luke Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY and later as a forensic pathologist with the Northern Kentucky Crime Lab.
He was the proud owner of a cattle farm in Salvisa, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father, Charles L. Stephens Sr.; mother, Mildred Stephens Sheils; and step father, Edward Sheils.
He is survived by his partner, Nancy Kruger; son, Lee Stephens (Joanne); daughter, Beth Stephens Penn (Kevin); grandchildren, Tyler Stephens, John Penn, Katie Penn; brothers, Henry Stephens (Betsey) and Mark Stephens (Karen) and several nieces and nephews who will miss Uncle Charles.
