Charles E. Wilson

Charles E. Wilson, age 79, of Hwy. 904, Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
He was born on March 15, 1943 to the late Roscoe Wilson and the late Orena (Bennett) Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Elijah David Wilson; and brothers, Wendell Wilson, Terry Wilson, and Verlon Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Carolyn Wilson of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two children, Bryan Wilson (Teresa) and Michael Wilson (Kathy) both of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two grandsons, Chris Wilson (Hanna) of Kingston, Tennessee and Ethan Wilson of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Melody Wilson and Hunter Wilson; three sisters, Eleanor Monhollen of Tipp City, Ohio, Betty McKee (Scott) of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and Judy Durbin (Eddie) of Corbin, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Rose Wilson of Rockholds, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Charles was a member of Briar Creek Baptist Church. He owned his own business for over 40 years. He was also a member of Local 452 United Association of Plumbers and a pipe fitter for over 55 years.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, at the Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Mitchell and Bro. Sam Lawson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the New Mt. Zion Cemetery on Croley Bend Road.
