Central has pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament. After losing to Louisville Eastern a month ago by 23 points the Yellow Jackets stunned the Eagles today, winning 71-65.
Alex Morrison led the Yellow Jackets with 21 points. Eastern trailed at the half by three but took a six point lead into the fourth quarter. Central outscored Eastern 23-11 by using a stubborn defense against Chris Dowe in the fourth quarter.
Dowe was held to 14 points today.
So, its West Jessamine and Central in the semifinal of the top bracket. Those were my two lowest ranked teams coming into the tournament.
