Carrie M. Hamblin

Carrie M. Hamblin, 85, of Williamsburg, passed away Friday February 9, 2018 at Baptist Health Corbin.

She was born December 14, 1932 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Andrew and Laura Allan Stidham.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband E.R. Hamblin and two brothers Earl J. Stidham and David Stindham Jr.

She is survived by daughter; Teresa Black (Jim) of Williamsburg; five sons Dennie Hamblin (Judy), Larry Hamblin (Regina), Everett Hamblin (Gina), Terry Hamblin (Vickie) all of Williamsburg, David Hamblin (Dixie) of Corbin; seven grandchildren; Kimberly Hamblin, Rodney Hamblin, Laura Sunday, Chase Hamblin, Logan Hamblin, Mechelle Hamblin and Corissa Dyer; eight great grandchildren; Chandler Roberts, Lathen Roberts, Emily Hamblin, Kayleigh Roberts, Tye Hamblin, Raegan Sunday, Scout Dyer and Champ Dyer, several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Walden and Rev. Joe Caddell officiating.

Interment will be in the Highland Park Cemetery – Davis Addition.

Pallbearers will be Dennie Hamblin, Larry Hamblin, Everett Hamblin, Terry Hamblin, David Hamblin, Jim Black, Chase Hamblin and Mitch Dyer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Hamblin, Johnathan Hill and Gary Hill.
