Carl Raymond Skeene

Carl Raymond Skeene, age 85, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed Saturday, October 1, 2022 at his home.
Carl was born on May 9, 1937 in Evarts, Kentucky to the late Ira Dennis Skeene Sr. and Elvira (Momford) Skeene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ira Dennis Skeene, Jr., Eugene Skeene, and Clarence Skeene; and two sisters, Frances Jones and Mary Alice Hanvey.
He was a veteran of the US Army, member of Riverside Church of God, and attended the Williamsburg Senior Citizen Organization.
He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Mary Rose (Decker) Skeene of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two children, Raymond Michael Skeene (Tina) of Corbin, Kentucky and Donna Dimaggio of Savannah, Georgia; four grandchildren, Cathy McBride (Steve) of Spokane, Washington, Carl Skeene of Lexington, Kentucky, Calina Wagie of Somerset, Kentucky, and Shawn Skeene of Winchester, Kentucky; four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Adrianna, Katie, and Caleb; special nephew, Ernie Cox (Fran) of Harlan, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Thursday, October 6, at the Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Massingill and Rev. Randy Halcomb officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Grant Cemetery in Woodbine, Kentucky. Military Honors were conducted by the American Legion Post 88 of Corbin, Kentucky.
Pallbearers were Carl Skeene, Shawn Skeene, Andrew Modica, Anthony Grant, Ernie Cox, and Carl Stanfill.
