Brian “Butch” Engle

Brian “Butch” Engle, 26, of La Porte, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at La Porte Hospital.

He was born January 31, 1990, in Corbin to Brian and Vickie (Reeder) Engle.

Butch worked in construction. He loved kids, being with his friends and spending time with his family, making people laugh, driving anything with wheels, and his tattoo artwork. He loved being with his son, Baby Joe. Butch was always there and willing to help people.
Surviving are his parents Brian and Vickie Engle of La Porte; brother Zach (Anna Bertnolli) Russell; sisters Amber (Robert) Hyer and Tory Engle, all of La Porte; fiancée Cassandra Jackson; his son Baby Joe; grandparents Russell (Peggy) Engle of Lily, and Daniel (Peggy) Reeder of Corbin; great-grandfather Harve Gregory, Jr. of Corbin; five nephews Gavin, Kolton, Parker, Calvyn and Camdyn; seven close cousins, four aunts and four uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal great-grandparents.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 17, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with pastors Herschel Walker and Mike Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in the Worley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.
