BREAKING NEWS: Williamsburg voters approve alcohol referendum
Posted On 20 Mar 2012
The city of Williamsburg passed a liquor by the drink referendum Tuesday by a narrow 14-vote margin, according to unofficials results.
The final tally was 533 yes to 519 no in the hotly contested race. The vote will mean qualifying restaurants in the city will be able to sell alcoholic drinks to customers.

Hi, obbicer, I ain’t as think as you drunk I am, hit someone back there, oh, did I do that ??
Judging by Eugene’s post, whoever did a job of home-schooling him must have skipped a few days when they should have been going over spelling and grammar. Anyway, congratulations to all you drinkers down there. Just don’t do anything stupid let get into a head on collision with a family on the way to church after a long Saturday night of partying .
I guess both the Baptists and the bootleggers are ****ed since they are the only two that are allied and against the sale of alcohol. Too bad the Baptists don’t realize that they are the problem and not the solution.
Hay Brian;
You sound like you would like a drink NOW!!!
If you don’t like it, Move your A** somewhere
else… We don’t need boosers like you here sticking
up our highways!!! Get a clue BRIAN!!! You dumb
S**T!!!!
Well it’s about time. Now all the closet drinkers can come out of the dark. I bet over half of the no votes will be first in line. Congratulations Williamsburg, I might even move back there someday.
Prohibition began on January 16, 1920. It lasted for 13 years, 10 months, 19 days, 17 hours, and 30.5 minutes. It was rescinded on December 5, 1933, at 3:32 pm. Yesterday in the town of Williamsburg Ky it ended as well.
Eugene, there is more METH HEADS and PILL HEADS on the road than drunks. Williamsburg can finally grow now.
Hey Eugene, I hate to tell you this but drunk drivers where already out on the roads before this was passed. If you don’t like it move somewhere else. There are plenty of places that don’t sell alcohol. I can’t wait for Williamsburg to finally be able to complete with Corbin and London for business.
Hay Michelle;
Well see how GREAT you think it is when one of
the drunking fools hits one of your family members
or friends and kills them… This will NOT help the econonmy!!! It will keep the local funeral home
BUSY!!! I hate the ideal that I am sharing the
highway with with some liquored up fool that will
get by with MURDER!!!
Glad to see it, maybe it will help their econonmy!
